The Cheapest Public Golf Courses Near Denver

Eight Front Range courses where a real round of 18 averaged under $40, ranked by actual captured pricing, not sticker rates off a website.

We log real tee time pricing across 76 Colorado public courses every 15 minutes, so instead of guessing at which courses are the best value, we can just rank them by what people actually paid. These are the eight cheapest 18-hole rounds we captured between June and August 2026, based on over a million snapshots. None of them are literally inside Denver city limits, the cheapest golf on the Front Range tends to be a short drive out, but all are within about 45 minutes of downtown. For the full pricing breakdown across all 58 courses with reliable data, see the full data report. Want the other end of the market? 1

SouthRidge Golf Course

$19.15/round avg.

The cheapest round we tracked anywhere on the Front Range all summer. It's a municipal course on the south side of Fort Collins with rolling terrain and mountain views, and at just over $19 for 18 holes it's less than half what most Denver-metro courses charge for a comparable round. It sold out about half the time in our data, so weekday afternoons are your best bet.

2

Collindale Golf Course

$19.61/round avg.

Right across town from SouthRidge, Collindale runs almost identically cheap at $19.61 average. It's the classic tree-lined layout Fort Collins' municipal courses are known for. Between the two of them, Fort Collins might be the single best value market we track.

3

Mariana Butte Golf Course

$27.38/round avg.

Mariana Butte is the rare course where cheap and scenic aren't a tradeoff. It's carved into red rock terrain outside Loveland with real elevation change, the kind of layout you'd expect to pay $60+ for closer to Denver. It averaged $27.38 and sold out less than half as often as SouthRidge or Collindale, meaning more actual availability too.

4

South Suburban Golf Course

$31.85/round avg.

The cheapest course on this list that's actually inside the Denver metro proper. It's run by South Suburban Parks & Rec in Centennial, a classic tree-lined 18 that averaged $31.85. It's also the highest-demand course here, selling out 56% of the time in our snapshots, so book ahead for a weekend slot.

5

Flatirons Golf Course

$31.87/round avg.

Flatirons sits almost literally underneath the rock formation it's named for, and it's one of the oldest public courses in Colorado. At $31.87 average, it's a genuine bargain for a Boulder round with that kind of backdrop.

6

Thorncreek Golf Course

$32.62/round avg.

Thorncreek is the standout for actual availability, not just price. At $32.62 average and only a 10% sellout rate in our data, meaning it was open nearly nine times out of ten we checked, it's one of the easiest tee times on this whole list to actually land.

7

The Broadlands Golf Course

$34.54/round avg.

A links-style course in Broomfield with views of the Flatirons from the fairways, averaging $34.54 for 18 holes. It also offers 9-hole rounds if you're short on time.

8

Legacy Ridge Golf Course

$37.73/round avg.

Legacy Ridge rounds out the list at $37.73. It's an Arthur Hills design in Westminster with some of the best skyline views on this list, mountains on one side, Denver on the other, and it only sold out about a fifth of the time we checked.

How this is measured

Prices are the average 18-hole rate captured across our full polling window (June 12 – Aug 19, 2026), not list prices pulled from a website. Sellout rate is how often that course showed zero open tee times when we checked. Rates change with season, day of week, and time of day, so treat these as a starting point for comparison, not a quote.

Disclaimer. Figures are drawn from TeeScout's own availability-history logging between June 12 and Aug 19, 2026. Pricing and availability change; always confirm current rates directly with the course before booking.
